I've been tempted to present this photograph upside down.
Nature is a master at balancing itself. Taking a measured look at any eco -
system will show you how finely balanced it is.
I was fortunate enough to spend a couple of weeks in the Amazon basin and you
quickly come to realize how much life exists in this environment, how readily
adaptable it is, and how attuned the entire system of life is to it=s
environment.
There were colonies of ants that made their homes inside of living plants. Such
an amazing number of insects that you literally could not go outside at night
without being enmeshed in netting. In the water the number of species of aquatic
life and parasites were beyond count. Butterflies, Caymans, three toed sloth=s,
Jaguars, Pink Dolphins, and on and on all make this their home.
It may seem that these words would have nothing to do with the photograph above.
I think it is the converse that it is important for us to remember that these
properties of nature seeking balance with itself exist across the world.
