All of the photographs presented are slices of time. Events I witnessed first hand that I wish everyone would have had the pleasure of experiencing directly. With any photograph you make choices, hopefully conscious, about what to include, and how to best present what is before you. I have done my best to give you a glimpse of the grandeur, the true beauty, of what is revealed on some of the early morning and late evening walks that I've had the great pleasure of experiencing.

Fortunately, or perhaps not, the camera is limited in what it can reveal by the choices I make. There is so much beauty in the world that we often miss because of appointments, commitments, and the trappings of living in the modern world. I get as equally caught up in the requirements of daily living.

When I make the effort to get up early and witness the sun crossing the horizon or making it's final appearance of the day I stop focusing on all of the tasks I need to complete. By simply paying attention to what is going on around me I get a great deal of clarity.

I hope that in taking a moment to view these photographs, though only representations, that you will be encouraged to take a bit of time and see the world around you as well.
